Maison Izem (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit www.maisonizem.com, place an order, or contact our atelier, and how we use, store, share, and protect that information.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to fulfil your order and serve you well:

• Order information: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number, items ordered, payment confirmation (we do not store card numbers).
• Correspondence: messages you send to atelier@maisonizem.com or through the website concierge, the page you are asking about, and an email address if you request an atelier reply.
• Usage data: with your consent only, site analytics through Microsoft Clarity — pages viewed, device type, referrer, and recordings of how a visit moves through the site (clicks and scrolling). We use this to improve the site.

2. How we use it

• To process and ship your order, and update you on its progress.
• To respond to your inquiries.
• To send order confirmations and shipping notifications (transactional emails only — never marketing without your explicit opt-in).
• To detect and prevent fraud.
• To comply with legal obligations (tax, customs, accounting).

3. Who we share it with

We share your information only with the parties needed to take and deliver your order and, with your consent, to measure our site and advertising:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your card information directly; we never see it.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Neon — storage for order records and concierge enquiries.
• Carriers (DHL, FedEx, sea-freight forwarders) — shipping fulfilment. They receive your shipping address only.
• Vercel — our website hosting provider. It serves the site and processes order requests.
• Google Analytics — consent-based traffic and shopping measurement, including page visits, products viewed, cart additions, checkout starts, confirmed purchases and received enquiries. We do not send your name, email, address, payment details or enquiry text to Google Analytics.
• Microsoft (Clarity) — site analytics, loaded only after you accept cookies.
• Meta — advertising measurement. The Meta pixel loads only after you accept cookies. With your advertising consent, we may also send Meta a paid-order event with hashed contact details. Hashing does not make that information anonymous.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with anyone. Ever.

4. How long we keep it

Order records are retained for seven years for tax and accounting purposes.

5. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct it if any of it is wrong.
• Delete it (subject to legal retention obligations).
• Export it in a portable format.
• Withdraw any consent you previously gave.

Write to atelier@maisonizem.com and we will respond within thirty days.

6. Cookies

We keep your shopping cart and your cookie choice in your browser. When you use the concierge, a necessary session cookie lets this browser return to its conversation for up to fourteen days. Starting a new conversation clears that browser access; it does not delete an enquiry already shared with the atelier. You can request deletion by email. Concierge conversation text is masked from Clarity session recordings. With your consent only, we also use analytics and advertising cookies from Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta; until you accept, these tools are not loaded. With consent, we retain first and last non-direct campaign sources in your browser for up to thirty days and attach the available source information to an order or enquiry. Campaign tags and referrers may be unavailable, so attribution cannot identify every visit. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie preferences” at the foot of every page. The site works either way.

7. International transfers

Our atelier is in Morocco; our hosting infrastructure is in the European Union and United States. By placing an order, you consent to your information being transferred across these jurisdictions, all of which we believe provide adequate protection.

8. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes to this page and update the “last updated” date above. For material changes affecting how we use your information, we will notify you by email.
